Hello and thank you for stopping my and investigating my shenanigans. My name is Kristina and I am from San Diego, California. I am a recent college graduate! Yay me! I majored in English (makes sense I know!) and minored in Linguistics and just earned my teaching credential. So I can teach High School English (bold, I know!) and am about to start my first year in the classroom.
I love, love, love reading. I discovered the world of audiobooks a while back and have been obsessed with listening while I am on the go (in my car, on the way to class, even in line at the bank). My kids would say I am a little too obsessed but that’s okay with me. I am also an aspiring writer and am working on my first novel. Slowly. Very. Slowly.
I love curling up and escaping into a great book. I like to read ARC (Advance Reader Copies) and do not mind books that are not edited to death. I believe humans are incredibly flawed so who am I to expect perfection? Seriously, I am in it for the story more than the grammar (*gasp* from English teachers everywhere). So please join me while I escape into some pretty awesome books. While I am brutally honest (blame that on my writer’s workshops) I know that authors are people that present us with their babies. I won’t be cruel or unnecessarily picky about the small details. But if you give me a schizophrenic character that is not supposed to be schizophrenic, I am going to let you know. Just saying! 🙂
I agree with William Styron when he said:
“A great book should leave you with many experiences, and slightly exhausted at the end. You live several lives while reading.”
Thank you for following my blog. Best of luck in your endeavors. Writing and teaching are two of the most important vocations.

Hey – I studied English, worked at The Washington Post for a long time as a copy editor.
I write all kinds of stuff.
Maybe we can keep in touch, share and comment on each other’s work – that kind of stuff. :):)
